The public can bring up to 9-tires per vehicle into the landfills and manned transfer stations at no charge. No rims and not open to commercial tire dealers.

Christmas Trees are accepted at each solid waste facility free of charge.

Christmas Trees are also accepted free of charge at the Lone Pine Paiute-Shoshone Tribe's Environmental Department.

Styrofoam packing peanuts can be taken to the FED-UP Store, 1335 Rocking W Dr. Bishop. 872-4560 (in the Rite-Aid shopping center)

Treated Wood Waste Recycling (Program not implemented)

Treated wood waste is defined as wood that has been chemically treated to prevent decay. Due to California's classification of treated wood (including railroad ties and utility posts) as hazardous Inyo County is not allowed to accept these materials at this time.
